About Ianna Jones 

I am an Early Childhood Education student at Humber Polytechnic with a  genuine passion for working with children and supporting their overall development. Through my academic learning and placement experiences, I will developed skills in creating engaging, play-based environments that will support the children's social, emotional, and cognitive development. I value building respectful and collaborative relationships with families and recognize the importance of communication in supporting each child's well-being. My experiences will strengthened my ability to observe, adapt, and respond to the diverse needs of the children while fostering a safe and welcoming learning environment.

As I continue my professional journey, I am working towards becoming a Registered Early Childhood Educator who will fosters inclusive and meaningful learning experiences for all children. I am particularly interested in encouraging creativity, supporting social emotional development. I aim to further develop my knowledge in inclusive practice, culturally responsive teaching, and family engagement, and I am committed to making a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of children and their communities.

Land Acknowledgment 

Humber College is located within the traditional and treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit. Known as Adoobiigok, the “Place of the Alders” in Michi Saagiig language, the region is uniquely situated along Humber River watershed, which historically provided an integral connection for Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Wendat peoples between the Ontario Lakeshore and the Lake Simcoe/Georgian Bay regions. Now home to people of numerous nations, Adoobiigok continues to provide a vital source of interconnection for all.
